How to read the results
A and AAAA records identify server addresses. MX records route mail; lower priority numbers are preferred. TXT records hold verification and policy text. NS lists name servers, CNAME points to an alias, and SOA describes zone authority and timing. An empty result means no records were returned by this resolver.
Frequently asked questions
Why do my DNS results differ elsewhere?
Resolvers cache records, and changes take time to propagate. This tool also caches successful lookups for ten minutes.
Which DNS record types are supported?
A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME and SOA are supported. Zone transfers and arbitrary query types are not available.
Lookups run from our server. We don't store your lookups. Our web server keeps standard access logs, including IP addresses, for security. Rate limits use temporary hashed identifiers in memory; no database is used.
